D-Link DWL-156 v3.01LA

Hi Josh,

As discussed before, this dongle is recognized within usb_modeswitch 1.2.1, but the serial channel used do not respond after DCD goes high (i.e. CONNECT message is returned).

I made some profiles to minicom so I can acess all serial devices at same time. I called 'default' for ttyUSB0, 'USB1' for ttyUSB1 and 'USB2' for ttyUSB2.

Invoking minicom over /dev/ttyUSB0 gives no response for AT commands. But for USB1:

ERROR
The console wich is not 'CONNECTed' works fine. To reset all serial channels, I remove the dongle. This happens both when trying at ttyUSB1 or ttyUSB2.

This device has also a microsd card reader (up to 8GB cards). Both card reader and CD-ROM device are acessible after switching.

The data traffic should definitely go over ttyUSB2, because this is the interrupt interface of the modem. ttyUSB1 is most likely a diagnosis/status interface only.

I remember annother problem case where the format of the dial command (ATD) was the culprit. Can you confirm that your command is what your provider expects?
