Ok, just spend awhile tackling this and have it nailed. The e1690 uses the same usb_modeswitch config as the e1692. Stick this in your /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf: # Huawei E1690 DefaultVendor= 0x12d1 DefaultProduct= 0x1446 TargetVendor= 0x12d1 TargetProduct= 0x140c MessageContent="555342430000000...
