Disabled DHCP, modem not working anymore
Hey, I have a e3372h-607 huawei 4G USB modem, while going through the setting in the webUI I disabled DHCP which turned out to be a huge mistake. I can not longer connect to the internet or access the webUI. I tried everything to fix this, I flashed a different firmware, flashed a different webUI, f...

Re: Connecting multiple 4G USB modems to a USB hub
2.Figure out the amount of endpoints this hub requires, plus the amount that each modem requires, and make sure that my card supports it. or just split this up to several machine if it doesn't. google "usb host controller endpoint limit" instead and keep in mind that a usb modem with 4-5 ...

Re: Connecting multiple 4G USB modems to a USB hub
Read: http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2881 and google "usb host channel limitations" for EHCI (USB2) and for XHCI (USB3) Thanks ! I have failed to find this using the search. So, after doing some research, this is my understanding: 1.Figure out the amo...

Re: huawei e8372h-153 switching but not recognized as modem
BTW which 4G Huawei modem do you recommend ? I am trying to set up a 4G proxy server with WVdial +Squid 4G is LTE Category 3 at minimum and dial-up modems can not fully utilize those speeds so most such modems do only have an ethernet-over-usb function. Huawei E392, E397, E398 has both dial-up mode...

Re: huawei e8372h-153 switching but not recognized as modem
Huawei E8372h is not a dial-up modem, it is a router with a wifi access point for up to 10 clients. You can tether over usb to the LAN of this router where you get an ethernet-over-usb connection. Thanks for the reply ! I actually didn't know that. How come I got a GSM modem from dmesg if it's not ...
