Re: Franklin R850?

You were correct, I spent a considerable amount of time trying to get this device to appear on GNU/Linux without much luck (hides from lsusb). However, snooping around on Windows revealed the vendor information. It's a Franklin branded version of this: 1076:9082 GCT Semiconductor [GDM7243S] http://w...

Franklin R850?

I have been unable to find a modeswitch for this device, but it does appear to have one. Using the HiddenMenu ( discussed here ) I was able to usb tether from Windows. Unfortunately I have not had this success on any of my *nix boxes. If you need additional information or can point me on how to snif...

Re: Vodafone Huawei Model K4511

Can you please update the included configuration file to use the fallback mode for the Vodafone (Huawei) Model K4511. The current K4511 config file has the correct switch method, if qmi doesn't work then it should be fixed in modemmanager. I suspect that your problems with qmi is because you are us...

Vodafone Huawei Model K4511

Hello, I am trying to get the Vodafone Huawei Model K4511 working under CentOS 7 x86_64 (1511). I used SniffUSB-x86-2.0.0006 under Windows XP to then build a config file. Here is a screenshot of SniffUSB and all the USB devices it sees for K4511(they have a VID of 12d1): http://oi65.tinypic.com/15hf...

New Device- Novatel Wireless Mifi 2200 1410:5020 > 1410:6000

Hello, I got lucky and only had to modify an existing config to the correct vendor codes and it worked on switching this modem out of storage mode! Quite happy that it works, especially since I don't know how to read MessageContent from Linux only. :D Working config below: ##########################...

Thank you for the quick reply, so the solution is to nag TP-link into upgrading their firmware then yes?
Should I just tell them to get the latest usb_modeswitch release or something more specific...?

Help with TP-Link router and ZTE MF110 modem

Hello, if anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful I recently bought a TP-Link TL-MR4320 which have ZTE MF110 on their compatible list of modems. It detects the modem as MF110, but never connects (I've triple-checked settings with my ISP) However, there seems to be a problem when it's...

How do I go about discovering what the target ID of my model USB modem should be? Do I use Windows and SniffUSB?

I'm confused :? Doesn't your program generate that logfile?? If it does, then why is the generated log file almost good, why not completely good??
