Huawei MTE WM 610 (working)

Post by bushcat » 07 May 2010, 20:19

First of all I would like to thank Josua for this cool software,

After fumbling around with some settings I managed to get my Huawei MTE WM 610 switched with the usb_modeswitch.It's a fairly old device, so not sure if many people would be using it.Anyway following is the options I used in the usb_modeswitch.conf.

Code: Select all

#######################################################
# Huawei MTE WM 610
#
#

DefaultVendor=  0x1c9e
DefaultProduct= 0x6061

# only for reference
 MessageEndpoint=0x05

MessageContent="5553424308B270840002000080000A28000015C800000100000000000000"
Im running Ubuntu "Karmic Koala" on my computer,
The version of modeswitch I'm using is 1.0.2

furthermore It should be noted that I'm using sakis3g script to dial the connection,so not very sure how it would work with other methods.I'll post anything I find here. :)

Thanks, I appreciate any working device, no matter if it's a recent model or not!

Just out of interest, did you try the known message for "1c9e" devices?

They work with this:
