Hey guys,
I have been trying to use 2 Huawei e3372 modems on the same machine simultaneously, but Ubuntu (18.04) only allows me to use one at a time, whenever I turn one on in the settings menu the other one gets automatically turned off. They are both recongnized in lsusb, but both have the same product:vendor ID and same MAC address.
Here is a picture from network manager:
Does anyone know a work around for this ?
Thanks.
Re: Ubuntu only allows 1 active modem
The identical MAC address is likely the problem for the system.
Try changing it for one modem. A quick search brought up this:

It may also be a problem of Ubuntu not being able to combine the ports. I'm not familiar with it though.
