i'm the user of ubuntu 10.10 and want help for anydata adu-510a usb modem.
my system and device is working fine but i want to switch on the storage mode of the device and remove the software the device carries for windows.
any help will be appreciated.

I am not sure removing the software is possible. The install storage is recognized as a pseudo CDROM, and is most likely read-only.
To disable switching, just edit /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf - there is a global disable parameter; set it to "1".
